From the humble beginnings just a few short years ago, Roan's "not a family reunion" has continued to grow as more and more friends join the event to celebrate coming together for a fun day of activities and events. As we have lost some friends and love ones over the years as well as come to the conclusion that we all are getting older, the organizers wanted to take this opportunity to create this web site to not only have a place for everyone to find out information about upcoming events, but also give us all a chance look fondly on past events and have a place for cherished memories.

For those who don't know the history or origin of the name of the event comes from the fact that yes, originally the event was planned as a family reunion of sorts, but everyone decided that they didn't want to just limit the event to family, so, friends, co-workers, acquaintances, neighbors, the guy we met at the store while picking up ice, or just about anyone everyone knew was invited to join the fun. Once someone has attended, they too then ask someone to come along for the fun.

Each event is usually filled with many yard games, kids playing and running around, adults filling their bellies, and as the day turns into night, most sit around the camp fire and play music on guitars while everyone else either sings or listens. All in all a good time is had by all.
